Steering Committee

BABEL's governance relies on two bodies: the Council and the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee brings together up to seven experts and distinguished scholars in blockchain, distributed ledger technologies and artificial intelligence, advising the research unit on its scientific direction and strategic priorities.

With the recent appointment of Sebastian Omlor (University of Marburg) and Claudio J. Tessone (University of Zurich), the Committee now pairs the unit's founding expertise with leading international voices in the law and the science of blockchain — reflecting BABEL's growing European and interdisciplinary reach.
