The Department of Economics and Management grants BABEL the patronage for promoting the participation of the students enrolled at the University of Florence to taking part in the 1st Techstars Startup Weekend Florence organized by Techstars in partnership with Google for Startups will take place at Murate Idea Park, piazza Madonna della Neve, 8 in Florence on November 29 and 30, and December 1.
Students interested in the event registration will receive a code contacting florence@startupweekend.org.
Techstars Startup Weekend is a top worldwide event for displaying projects, training teams, imagining a prototype and verifying a business idea by receiving feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, mentors and academics over the weekend. Startup Weekend is an excellent opportunity for those who have a business idea in the digital sector and want to get involved.
Everyone is allowed to participate. The only requirement you need is the will to make a project a reality in fifty-four hours.
The competition starts on November 29th in the afternoon, ending the following Sunday evening. Developers, designers, entrepreneurs, marketing and legal experts will work side by side to best present their business idea to a jury.
The contest is open to ideas from the digital sector economy: mobile technologies, web, tourism, sustainable mobility, IoT, tokenomics and connected fields.
Startup Weekend aim is to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem by bringing together those who are already in business with young candidates who wish to do so in the nearest future.
