On Friday, 27 February 2026, the Sellalab | Open Innovation Center in Turin (Corso Galileo Ferraris 32) will host the final conference of the PRIN 2022 DeTOKoDE project: "La governance dell'economia tokenizzata: prospettive interdisciplinari a confronto" (Governance of the Tokenized Economy: Interdisciplinary Perspectives).
The event — co-organized by the Universities of Turin, Milano Bicocca, and Florence (BABEL), together with Italia4Blockchain Piemonte APS — will gather legal scholars, economists, financial regulators, and industry representatives to examine the regulatory, economic, and technological dimensions of tokenization and digital assets.
Programme highlights:
The morning session (10.15–13.30), chaired by Prof. Cristina Poncibò (UniTo), will cover three thematic panels: (i) Tokenization of assets and new property regimes, coordinated by Riccardo de Caria (PI, DeTOKoDE); (ii) Decentralized financial ecosystems and DeFi, coordinated by Monica Rossolini (UniMiB); and (iii) The revolution of monetary paradigms — focusing on CBDCs, tokenized deposits, and stablecoins — coordinated by Filippo Zatti (BABEL – UniFi), with contributions by Rosa Giovanna Barresi, Chiara Ferri, Mauro Lombardi, and Vincenzo Vespri. A special live connection with Casa Sanremo Invest will close the morning with industry perspectives on crypto-asset adoption.
The afternoon session (14.45–17.00) will focus on practical applications: Tokenization in practice: use cases and concrete applications (moderated by Filippo Zatti and Fabrizio Maiocco), and Tokenised Money and Tokenised Bonds — with contributions from Michele Lanotte (Banca d'Italia), Riccardo Donega (Banca Sella), Niccolò Bardoscia (IntesaSanPaolo), Marco Formaggio (Unicredit), Alessandro Negri della Torre (LEX20), and On. Marcello Coppo (Parliamentary Intergroup on Digital Assets, Blockchain and Bitcoin).
